I am at the brink of boycotting AI, there's no reason at all for the Sanjaya to be on this show. He should have never been brought to Hollywood nor the top 12.
I don't really care if the show is rigged and for the life of me I can't imagine why Howard Stern or any of his cronies really care either. It's not like its hurting them by letting the real singers win. The fact of the matter is that Sanjaya can't sing his way out of a paper bag, does his hair like a girls and overall is a boy with NO TALENT.
I truly think this is IT for American Idol as they can't keep having seasons like this where they allow the worst singers to stay. They need to re-evaluate the voting system and only allow 1 call per household, then they can't have all these bad voting scenarios.
Join me in boycotting if Sanjaya stays next week.

Middle of March already??
Time sure does fly when you are busy! Ok so I haven't really been to busy but I swear it was just my dd's birthday and here we are in the middle of March. What's worse is 2 months from today I turn......30. OY! I swear there are days I can't believe I am going to be 30, that's like OLD. HA! Ok that's what I used to think when I was a kid. Now I don't really feel like it's that old at all...because it's NOT!
How to celebrate the "30" birthday? Go out with friends for dinner and drinks, make hubby take me out? or stay home and be a hermit? Hmmm well the first 2 sounds pretty good but I don't want to be a hermit!
Well I am sure whatever happens will be ok as long as I don't have some kind of breakdown from turning 30.....

American Idol...LIVE
Yep just IDOL as in 1, Lucky for me I got to go see Taylor Hicks in concert last night! What makes it even better, it was FREE for me!
Taylor is awesome, let me say if you are a TH fan you really need to see him in concert! He rocks and really gives a great performance. I am so upset with myself because I left my camera sitting at home, but hey I was there and had fun.
I definitely will pay to see him the next time he comes here, after all he's a true Bama boy and how could I not support our Bama Boys!
SOUL PATROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Happy Birthday
My baby is no longer a baby! She turned 2 on Sunday and boy how time flies. She is a typical toddler, into everything, hates the word NO and can give hugs and kisses like no other! It has been a blessing being able to be home and watch her grow up and unfortunately it's gone by to fast! I can remember her birth just like it was yesterday and it is hard to believe it's been so long ago now.
Here are a few pics, so enjoy and if you have children, slow down and take some extra time with them , they will be gone soon enough!

March Means Tornadoes
Well the time has come for tornado season and if you remember my post about snow you know I have slight rants about tornado season.
On March 1, everyone in Alabama was under a tornado watch for pretty much the entire day. This storm system that came thru here was the same one up North dumping ice and snow all over the Northeast areas.
Schools all over Alabama decided to dismiss the children early, between 11 am and 12 pm for most, some were closed all together. The reason behind this is because the worst part of the weather was supposed to hit when the kids were getting out of school. So rather than have them caught on buses, in cars, or walking home they would rather send them home early. Which makes complete sense to me.
Unfortunately the students in Enterprise Alabama were not so lucky. They were in school, though down near Montgomery was supposed to be one of the worst hit areas, and they did not dismiss them at 10 or 11. Instead they kept them there, and close to 1 had decided to let the students go, but then ended up cancelling that because the "approaching tornado" was getting closer to them. This part makes sense, I mean we definitely didn't want these high school students on buses and in cars when the tornado hit.
Around 1 pm the tornado hit Enterprise High School, the kids were in the hallways and some were in the gym, though that was not the place to be. That is not safe, as there is no support in the roof in the gym. The school was pretty much destroyed and 8 students died in the tornado.
This was a sad day in Alabama and now I have to wonder though if they had let those students go at 11 am like most of the state of Alabama would they still be alive today? Yes tornadoes are known to strike at any place any time, so it is possible even if they had been home they may not have made it, however we will never know that.
I just want to say to all of those people that complain Oh I had to miss a day of work, I had to give up my free time to go get my kid out of school, be thankful that you were able to do so and that we didn't get the tornado weather like we were supposed to.
Please take a few minutes and pray for the families in Alabama who lost their children on March 1st.
